Sir Peter Westmacott GCMG LVO is a distinguished senior British diplomat who has been British Ambassador to Turkey, France and the USA. Sir Peter has been honoured with numerous awards and appointments in the UK and France. He was appointed Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George in 2000, promoted to Knight Commander (KCMG) in 2003 and Knight Grand Cross (GCMG) in 2016. He was also made a Lieutenant of the Victorian Order by HM the Queen in 1993.
