Peter Prendiville has been the owner and operator of more than 40 hotels, roadhouses and fuel stations in a career spanning over 35 years.
He is chair of his family-owned group, with a portfolio of assets that includes Sandalford Wines, Hotel Rottnest, Mangrove Hotel in Broome, Cottesloe Beach Hotel, Karratha International Hotel, the Norfolk and Tradewinds Hotels in Fremantle, Grand Hotel Townsville and the Pier 21 Resort in Fremantle.
Mr Prendiville is also on the board of St John of God Health Care Group and chancellor of the University of Notre Dame Australia (until the end of 2017). He stepped down as chair of Tourism WA early in 2017.
Mr Prendiville is a long-time supporter of Youth Focus, a not-for-profit organisation that supports young Western Australians at risk of suicide, depression, anxiety and self-harm. Through his Polo in the Valley events, he has helped Youth Focus raise over $600,000 in donations.
In 2016, Mr Prendiville was named West Australian of the Year in the Business category.
