Peter Hanscomb began his franchising career with Ray White in 1982, where he played a major part in rolling-out its franchise system while employed initially as a management accountant, then as deputy managing director and group director. In 1990, he became chief executive of Reality Business Consulting where he was responsible for providing specialist advice and services to the real estate industry.
Mr Hanscomb founded the Australian arm of the worldwide RE/MAX system in 1996 and, as its chief executive, grew the business to be the second largest by market share in Queensland - turning over more than $4.2 billion annually via 125 offices employing 1300 staff. He was also a business consultant of McGrath Estate Agents from 2006 to 2007 before taking up the reins as chief executive and major shareholder of Belle Property Australasia in late 2007.
