Paul Ostergaard has a 25-year track record of success and innovation in the high-technology sector, having worked in senior executive roles in startups and large corporations in Australia, France, UK and the US.
He founded Norwood Systems in 2011 with the vision to create the world’s best private cloud communications platform servicing enterprises’ increasingly mobile international workforces. He also co-founded Avicena Systems in August 2020. Avicena Systems is behind the innovative testing technology which uses saliva samples to test for COVID-19, and the testing technology also supports a range of other detection test kits for pathogens such as dengue fever, tuberculosis and malaria.
Prior to Norwood Systems, Mr Ostergaard founded several companies in the wireless communications sector including the original Norwood Systems Ltd, the award-winning technology pioneer in fixed mobile convergence platforms, founded in 1999.
Mr Ostergaard is an active angel investor and mentor to the Perth startup community.
He has been recognised with more than a dozen honours and awards over his career, and holds 11 patents in ICT spanning US, EU and Australian jurisdictions.
Mr Ostergaard holds an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau and a Bachelor of Electronic Engineering from the University of Western Australia.
