Dr Paul Hardisty is the chief executive of the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS), Australia's national marine science agency with laboratories in Townsville, Perth and Darwin. Prior to joining AIMS in July 2017, Dr Hardisty was director of the Land and Water National Research Flagship at CSIRO where he spent over 4 years, and global director of sustainability and eco-nomics at WorleyParsons. He has over 20 years of experience assisting government and industries in achieving more environmentally and socially sustainable outcomes through applying environmental economics and strategy. Dr Hardisty is also a visiting professor in Environmental Engineering at Imperial College London, an adjunct professor at the University of Western Australia's School of Business, and author of over 200 publications including the Environmental and Economic Sustainability published by CRC Press in New York.
