Paul Benson is a geologist with over 20 years of experience in the mining industry across a range of commodities. He has considerable experience in the exploration, development and production of gold and tin deposits in Australia. He was geological manager (mining), underground mine production geologist, senior underground resource geologist and senior exploration geologist. He has experience across a range of commodities including gold, tin, base metals and mineral sands. Mr Benson has also held senior executive positions in operations and corporate sectors of the industry. He has been the site senior executive (mine manager) of an underground tin mine in far north Queensland, chief executive and executive director of ASX-listed Aragon Resources, and non-executive director of Vital Metals. Prior to his appointment as general manager of Great Western Exploration, he was the managing director of Sena Resources and was consulting geologist for Forge Resources where he managed the successful discovery and resource development of a large mineral sands deposit in Western Australia.
