Patrick O’Connor is an experienced company director and resources senior executive across a wide range of industries including mining (gold, copper, lead, zinc, tin and coal), oil & gas exploration, biotechnology and government utilities.
Mr O’Connor was chief executive of OceanaGold Corporation at the time of its listing on the ASX, and served for a period as a non-executive director. He was also managing director of Macraes Mining for nine years. a non-executive director of Stanmore Coal, chair of Perilya, and spent nine years as a director of the Water Corporation in WA including four years as chair.
Mr O’Connor holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
