Alterra to bank $695k R&D tax scheme refund

ASX-listed WA agribusiness avocado orchard developer, Alterra Ltd says it expects to bank nearly $700,000 courtesy of the Federal Government's research and development tax incentive scheme. According to the company, the government scheme, administered by the ATO, recognises the innovative avocado growing methodology it has implemented across the initial five-hectare planting out of its flagship Carpenters avocado project development in WA's South West.

Alterra tables bullish feasibility study on SW avocado project

ASX-listed agribusiness developer, Alterra has tabled a double-digit IRR feasibility study for the 30-year life span of its planned 300-hectare Carpenters Avocado project near Pemberton in the South West region of Western Australia. The company also said construction of a 4.1 gigalitre dam to irrigate the project had commenced with the first 50-hectare planting due this year, subject to funding.

Alterra finalises non-core property sale

ASX-listed agribusiness developer, Alterra's sale of the final sections of its “non-core” Dambadgee Springs farming property in Dandaragan north of Perth has gone unconditional. The final tranche of the overall transaction, which incorporates the rights to income from the nearby Yandin wind farm, comprised two blocks of land that fetched $2.8 million. The property was sold to a local farmer for a total price of $4.4 million.

Alterra executes Dambadgee Springs sale

ASX-listed Alterra Ltd will sell the third tranche of its legacy Dambadgee Springs agricultural land in the town of Dandaragan, north of Perth, significantly progressing its efforts to become a major agribusiness developer in Western Australia. The sale, once completed, will allow it to accelerate its flagship Carpenters avocado project in WA's south-east.

Alterra raises $1.7 million for horticultural projects

ASX-listed agribusiness developer, Alterra Ltd, has successfully rattled the tin for $1.7 million following a placement to new investor, Emanuel Exports and existing major shareholder, Sandon Capital Investments. In a boost for Alterra's financing aspirations for its WA agricultural projects, Emanuel will emerge as a major shareholder with 15 per cent ownership of Alterra's expanded issued capital, whilst Sandon maintains its 19.2 per cent stake.

Alterra cashes up to pursue new strategy with $3M land sale

Perth-based agricultural investment and management company, Alterra, has entered into two contracts to sell 913 hectares of its 1,640Ha “Dambadgee Springs” property near Dandaragan in Western Australia to a local farmer. The total value of the two contracts is $3.1M and the ASX-listed company said it plans to retain $2.0M as working capital with the balance utilised to retire debt.

Alterra secures long term income stream in Alinta deal

Alterra engages agricultural veteran as new MD
