Noel Newell has over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including 20 years with BHP Billiton and Petrofina where he was technically involved in exploration of areas around the globe, particularly South East Asia and all major Australian offshore basins.
Prior to founding 3D Oil, Mr Newell was a technical advisor of Nexus Energy and was directly involved in their move to explore in the offshore of the Gippsland Basin. He was also with BHP Billiton and prior to leaving in 2002, Mr Newell was the principal geologist with the Southern Margin Company and was primarily responsible for exploration within the Gippsland Basin.
Mr Newell has a number of technical publications and has co-authored Best Paper and runner up Best Paper at the Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association conference, and Best Paper at the Western Australian Basins Symposium.
