Nigel Jones has over 30 years of experience in the international mining sector. He has considerable corporate development and marketing expertise, including being responsible for the negotiation of key uranium supply agreements for Rio Tinto.
Mr Jones spent over two decades in senior roles at Rio Tinto including as managing director of Rio Tinto’s Simandou iron ore project in Guinea, one of the world’s largest proposed mining developments; global head of business development; managing director of Rio Tinto Marine; head of investor relations and marketing director for uranium. Mr Jones was also head of private side capital markets at ICBC Standard Bank, the global markets subsidiary of ICBC Bank which is the world's largest bank by assets.
He is an Oxford University graduate and has completed a Corporate Finance Programme at the London Business School.
