Nick Malone graduated from the University of Notre Dame Australia with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Finance Management). He served on the Notre Dame Law Student Society as a sports and sponsorship representative, and was the 2015 winner of the client interview and negotiation competitions.
He spent 6 years as a committee member and secretary of the Piddington Society, an organisation which promotes access to justice and legal education.
Mr Malone was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2017. He began his career with Pragma Lawyers in October 2015. He has since been an associate in July 2019, senior associate in March 2021 and a director in June 2023, becoming the youngest director appointed at the age of 29. Mr Malone thrived as a dispute resolution lawyer, with a particular focus on insolvency matters, and won 7 consecutive decisions in the Federal Court for its clients.
