Mitra Khakbaz

Mitra Khakbaz has over 20 years of experience in senior leadership roles within the humanitarian and development sectors.
She has been the deputy chief executive of HOST International which services delivery programs across Asia Pacific including Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand.
In 2013, Ms Khakbaz was awarded a Churchill Fellowship. Her research focused on identifying best practices in assisting women with multiple vulnerabilities from diverse backgrounds into employment and economic independence. This learning journey influenced her focus on social and economic inclusion of women and communities they are part of.
