Mike Rowe

Mike Rowe is an experienced member of the Western Australian Government's senior executive service, having worked in a variety of leadership, policy, advisory and delivery roles across nine agencies since 1993.

Mr Rowe was appointed director general of the Department of Water in June 2016 prior to becoming director general of the Department of Communities in May 2021.

He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Social Research and Program Evaluation and a Bachelor of Environmental Science from Murdoch University and a Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Leadership from Griffith University.
