Mike Rann AC was an Australian politician for 26 years, and the 44th Premier of South Australia from 2002 to 2011. He was also the Australian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom from 2013 to 2014; and Australian Ambassador to Italy, Albania, Libya and San Marino from 2014 to 2016.
Mr Rann now resides in London where he is chair of the UK registered charity The Power of Nutrition; a member of the UK, US and global boards of London-headquartered The Climate Group; and chief executive of his London-based business consultancy Rann Strategy Group.
In 2001, Mr Rann was awarded a Centenary Medal. In 2016, he was awarded a Companion of the Order of Australia for eminent services to the Parliament and the community of South Australia, particularly as Premier, through broad-ranging policy design and implementation, and to the advancement of Australia's diplomatic, trade and cultural relationships.
