Mike Hussey is one of Western Australia’s most celebrated international cricketers and an ambassador of the Women & Infants Research Foundation.
Mr Hussey, a key member of a near-invincible Australian side which boasted names such as Warne, McGrath, Ponting and WA’s Langer and Gilchrist, ended his career in 2012 with a total of 22 centuries, averaging 51.53 in tests and 48.16 in ODIs.
In addition to being a Fox Sports Cricket commentator, he has active coaching roles with the Australian cricket side and his former Indian Premier League team, the Chennai Super Kings.
Mr Hussey and his wife Amy are proud parents to their four children Jasmin, William, Molly and Oscar.
In 2017, he and his wife were announced as WIRF’s inaugural ambassadors following the extremely premature births of Molly and Oscar.
The couple continues to champion WIRF’s pioneering work into preventing preterm birth and saving other families the heartache and emotional rollercoaster they had to endure.
Adding to his philanthropic portfolio, Mr Hussey is also an ambassador at the Starlight Children's Foundation.
