Michael Kay

Michael Kay is non-executive director and chair of IMF Bentham.

Mr Kay was chief executive officer and managing director of listed salary packaging company McMillan Shakespeare for six years, and chief executive of national insurer AAMI after serving in a variety of senior roles within that company. Prior to joining AAMI, he spent 12 years in private legal practice.

Mr Kay was a member of the Commonwealth Consumer Affairs Advisory Council, the Administrative Law Committee of the Law Council of Australia, the Victorian Government Finance Industry Council, and the Committee for Melbourne. He has also been a director of RAC Insurance, TFS Corporation, and chair of Lovisa Holdings.

Mr Kay holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney.
