Michael Johnston

Michael Johnston is the finance director of Consolidated Press Holdings, having previously been an adviser to the Consolidated Press Holdings Group for 17 years. As finance director, Mr Johnston oversees a large number of operational businesses within the CPH Group and its controlled associates.

He was also chief financial officer of Ellerston Capital (a subsidiary of CPH) until 30 June 2008.

Prior to his appointment with the CPH Group, Mr Johnston was a senior partner in the Australian member firm of Ernst & Young, and is on the board of partners at Ernst & Young Australia.

Mr Johnston holds a Bachelor of Economics from Sydney University and is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia.
