Martin Durkan

Martin Durkan is a highly experienced mining professional with more than 30 years of experience in greenfield and brownfield operations. His experience spans both soft and hard rock mining operations, across a number of commodities, and from operational startup to closures. He is highly experienced in driving change and delivering improved business results. Mr Durkan held a number of project management roles at BCG, Theiss, Macmahon and Eastern Guruma. He joined SMS Mining Services in 2018 and holds a Graduate Diploma of Mining and Diplomas of Metalliferous Mining, Business and Management. Mr Durkan is a member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM) and holds a Quarry Manager’s Certificate of Competency.
