Katie Liew spent 10 years in the mining and resources industry as a management accountant. She has also actively volunteered with organisations including Starlight, State Emergency Service, Red Cross and Camp Quality.
In 2017, Ms Liew quit her career as an accountant to pursue her social entrepreneurship journey, with the dreams of driving and instilling positive change in the lives of others in tackling social, environmental and global issues. She founded the Underground Collaborative in 2017, which aims to create employment and housing solutions for people experiencing, or at-risk of, homelessness while collaborating with relevant industries, government, social services and the community.
Ms Liew is also passionate about social justice, international aid, the environment, human rights and children, and thoroughly enjoys the world of business and social enterprise.
