Kate O’Shaughnessy
Research Director / Perth USAsia Centre
Dr Kate O’Shaughnessy took on the role of Research Director at the Perth USAsia Centre in August 2022. She previously had a distinguished 16-year career with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). During her employment with DFAT, Ms O’Shaughnessy has served in Ghana, as well as deployments to Lebanon, France and Nigeria. She holds a PhD in Indonesian history and speaks Indonesian and French.
