Kate Hulett

Kate Hulett came to the notice of the broader Western Australian public when she unsuccessfully ran as an independent for the district of Fremantle in the 2025 state election. She subsequently ran in the federal election that year for in the division of Fremantle. In both campaigns, she was supported by the Voices For Fremantle community group.

Ms Hulett founded specialist retailer Kate and Abel in 2013. The store initially operated within the MANY 6160 space, before opening a standalone location on Fremantle's Market Street in 2021.

Ms Hulett completed a psychology degree at UWA. She worked overseas for more than a decade, including roles in strategic communications for the London Underground and boutique agencies.
