Kate Chaney is an Australian independent politician who was elected to the Australian House of Representatives at the 2022 federal election, representing the Division of Curtin in Western Australia.
Ms Chaney has over two decades of experience as a lawyer, strategy consultant, in commercial and social Impact roles within the private sector, and in innovation and strategy roles within the the not-for-profit sector.
She joined national law firm Blake Dawson Waldron in Sydney in 1998. In 2003, she completed an MBA and moved to the Boston Consulting Group as a strategic advisor in the aviation, financial services and non-profit sectors. Ms Chaney was the general manager of business development at Westralia Airports Corporation, and held several roles at Wesfarmers during a 6-year tenure.
She holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Australia.
