Karl Laufmann has over 25 years of experience within the financial markets - holding positions with Salomon Smith Barney, Citigroup and HSBC - with a focus on portfolio management, capital raising, and corporate advice.
He has advised private clients, not-for-profits and family offices on their investment strategy and allocations in addition to funding several ASX-listed resource companies from early-stage venture capital through to IPO and discovery.
Mr Laufmann has been the state manager for Western Australian, equity partner and national compliance committee member at EL&C Baillieu, one of Australia’s oldest share brokerage firms. When the company merged with Ord Minnett in December 2020, he became its senior financial adviser. In October 2023, Mr Laufmann left Ord Minnett to become senior investment advisor at Shaw and Partners.
