Justin Van Ast has over 20 years of banking and corporate advisory experience across a broad range of industries including financial services, mining and oil & gas services, logistics, IT services, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, automotive, property and telecommunications.
Prior to founding Leeuwin Capital Partners in 2011, he was director of corporate banking at Westpac Institutional Bank, and held London-based positions at Bank of America and global consulting firm Kroll (now AlixPartners). He was a member of the Westpac Foundation WA Community Leadership team, WA Regional Council of FINSIA, and a WA committee member of the Turnaround Management Association.
Mr Van Ast holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), and is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
