Record daily production puts Element 25 back on track

Element 25 has roared back to life with record daily production after repair and modification works of the processing plant were completed at its Butcherbird manganese project in WA. The processing plant modifications, which were undertaken following a shaft failure late last year, delivered improved production volumes averaging 934 tonnes per day since kicking the plant back into action on 23 December 2021.

Optimisation test work on a flowsheet designed to convert manganese concentrate into battery-grade manganese material has reportedly reduced reagent consumption and residue production in the conversion process. The outcome could potentially slash operational and capitals costs of the venture.

Second export manganese shipment for Element 25

ASX-listed Element 25's second shipload of about 27,000 tonnes of manganese concentrate produced at its Butcherbird operation in WA's southern Pilbara region has recently departed Port Hedland, only a handful of weeks after the inaugural export shipment of about 27,000 tonnes set sail. The Perth-based company says the ore aboard a Handymax-size vessel will be delivered to its offtake partner OM Materials' smelter in China.

Element 25 set to secure manganese haulage contract

Element 25 has sewn up a road transport deal with the Pilbara-based AK Evans Group that will see the bulk haulage and construction company truck manganese concentrate from the manganese producer's new Butcherbird mine to Utah Point in Port Hedland for export. The two parties have signed a letter of intent and are in the process of finalising a long-term commercial arrangement.

Element 25 sells first Pilbara manganese concentrate

WA manganese producer, Element 25 has sold the first parcel of manganese concentrate from its new Butcherbird mining and beneficiation operation in the Pilbara to offtake partner OM Materials, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ASX-listed, Singapore-based vertically integrated manganese and ferroalloy group OM Holdings Ltd. The manganese concentrate grade of 30-35 per cent and the level of impurities meet contract specifications as agreed under their offtake agreement, Element 25 says.

Pilbara port deal opens door for Element 25 manganese exports

WA manganese producer, Element 25 has nailed down a multi-user access agreement with the Pilbara Port Authority that allows the company to ship manganese concentrate from its Butcherbird mining and beneficiation operation through Port Hedland's Utah Point bulk handling and loading facility. Element 25 has been commissioning a new processing plant at Butcherbird and recently produced its first concentrate.

Element 25's sub-sampling of diamond core drilled back in 2013 from the Coodamudgi deposit resulted in manganese grades going up to 42.3 per cent right from surface. Coodamudgi is located near the company's Yanneri Ridge resource within its Butcherbird project in the Pilbara. Butcherbird already has an outstanding pre-feasibility study wrapped around it showing a pre-tax NPV of $283m at a manganese concentrate grade of 33 percent.

Element 25 has delivered an outstanding pre-feasibility study for its Butcherbird manganese project in the Pilbara, revealing that the operation will produce a pre-tax NPV in real terms AUD$283M at an incredible IRR of 223 per cent on project capital costs totaling AUD$14.5M. The project shows an initial mine life of 42 years and annual free cash flows of AUD$24M.
