Julian Ambrose is a director at BGC, and previously ran the residential building side of the business. BGC, founded by Mr Ambrose's stepfather the late Len Buckeridge, is a family business that also ranks as one of Australia's largest privately-owned company. BGC was formerly Australia's largest home builder. It also has a big construction materials business that supplies the building wing. Mr Ambrose is the son of Mr Buckeridge's second wife, Siok Puay Koh, better known as Tootsie.
