
John Wylie AC AM is the founder of investment firm Tanarra Group.
He was chief executive of the Australian business of global financial services firm Lazard. He co-founded advisory and investment firm Carnegie Wylie & Company in 2000 which was acquired by Lazard in 2007, and before that was chair of investment bank Credit Suisse First Boston in Australia.
Mr Wylie holds a Master of Philosophy from Oxford University and a Bachelor of Commerce with First Class Honours from the University of Queensland.
In 2007, he was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia for services to the investment banking and financial services industry, and to the community through sporting and medical organisations. In 2022, Mr Wylie was promoted to a Companion of the Order of Australia for eminent service to the community through leadership in the sporting, cultural, philanthropic and business sectors.
