John Lawton

John Lawton is a geologist with 40 years' experience in mineral exploration, project development, operations and corporate management, including 20 years in management of ASX-listed companies. He was appointed managing director of Explaurum in September 2015, after it acquired his unlisted company Auzex Resources. Mr Lawton founded Auzex in 2003, and it subsequently acquired and developed the Bullabulling project near Coolgardie and acquired the Tampia gold project near Narembeen. Previously he was a co-founder and executive director of Ross Mining from 1985 to 2000.
