John Hawkins has over 30 years of experience in finance and risk management.
Mr Hawkins was the chief financial officer and company secretary of the Link Group and a board director for Link businesses in Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, India and Papua New Guinea. He joined Link Market Services in November 2001, having previously been the group financial controller of Perpetual Trustees. He was responsible for finance, administration, treasury services (incorporating all aspects of managing client funds including payments and reconciliations), acquisition activities (he had undertaken over 30 acquisitions in his time with the group) and managing the group's banking relationships.
Mr Hawkins had also headed the business review and audit division of Optus Communications, and worked at KPMG's audit and assurance services in Australia and the UK.
He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
