
Professor John Chandler has been a practising lawyer for over 30 years, specialising in mining and petroleum development. He has been a partner in leading law firms and is an experienced company director. He is the co-author of Petroleum Law in Australia (LexisNexis 2013) and his latest book is Petroleum Resource Management How Governments Manage Their Offshore Petroleum Resources (Edward Elgar 2018). Prof Chandler was involved in the Argyle Diamond Project, the Channar iron ore mine, and the Bayu Undan oil and gas project. As co-director of UWA’s Centre for Mining, Energy and Natural Resources Law, Prof Chandler delivers courses for the Centre in the areas of mining and oil & gas.
