Jodi Cant has extensive government experience, and has worked in the private and not-for profit sectors in the areas of strategic planning, organisational transformation, marketing and communications.
Ms Cant was the director general at the Department of Finance since August 2018 until her appointment as acting director general at the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage from May 2021 to February 2022. She returned to her substantive role as director general at the Department of Finance in March 2022.
Prior to all that, Ms Cant joined Landgate in 2004 and was chief executive from January 2017 to August 2018. She was also the general manager of SPUR, Landgate’s location technology innovation hub, and had developed & implemented the Landgate innovation program, a first for the State Government.
Ms Cant holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Western Australia, is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a Fellow of Leadership WA.
