Jillian Broadbent AC is chair of Swiss Re Life, Health Australia and Clean Energy Finance Corporation. She is also Chancellor of the University of Wollongong. Ms Broadbent was a board member of the Reserve Bank of Australia (1998 to 2013) and served as a director of ASX Limited, Coca-Cola Amatil, Special Broadcasting Service Corporation (SBS), Qantas Airways, Westfield Property Trusts, and Woodside Petroleum. She has extensive experience in corporate banking and finance, in Australia and internationally, primarily with Bankers Trust Australia. In 2003, Ms Broadbent was made an Officer of the Order of Australia for her service to economic and financial development in Australia and the community through administrative support for cultural and charitable groups. In 2019, she was appointed a Companion of the Order of Australia for eminent service to corporate, financial, clean energy and cultural organisations, to higher education, and to women in business. Ms Broadbent holds a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Economics and Mathematics from The University of Sydney, and an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Literature from the University of Western Sydney.
