Jane Stewart
Director, Special Projects / Legal Aid Western Australia
Jane Stewart was admitted to practice in 1992 and has worked at Legal Aid WA since 1994. She has undertaken a variety of senior roles at Legal Aid WA. As director of the legal practice development division from 2008 to 2021, she was responsible for training, professional development and career planning of in-house lawyers. Ms Stewart manages the Country Lawyers Program, which is a collaborative cross agency initiative aimed at recruiting and retaining lawyers in hard-to-fill positions in rural, regional and remote Western Australia. She became the director of special projects in 2021.
