Isla McRobbie has more than 20 years of experience in the building and construction industry.
Prior to commencing employment with Jackson McDonald, Ms McRobbie was a practicing architect for 10 years and was one of three principals in an architectural practice. She provides advice on all aspects of front-end construction issues, construction contract disputes, arbitration hearings, Building Commission matters (formerly Building Disputes Tribunal) and related property, building, construction, architecture and insurance related matters including professional liability issues, copyright and contractual obligations and responsibilities under consultant agreements.
Ms McRobbie also has experience in advising clients on deep sea pipelines and platforms, land development projects, gas pipelines, infrastucture procurement agreements, and mining project disputes.
She was the first female chair of the Architects Board of Western Australia, and the first woman appointed to the Master Builders Association of Western Australia’s board.
In 2020, Ms McRobbie was awarded the Swan Group Crystal Vision Award from the National Association of Women in Construction which recognises an individual, company or group for encouraging and promoting the advancement of women in construction.
