He has been with Fortescue Metals Group since June 2010, and has held various senior executive roles before becoming chief financial officer from December 2017 to January 2023.

Mr Wells holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting, is a Fellow of CPA Australia, and a Certified Finance and Treasury Professional.
