Ian Rogers is a Special Counsel at LSV Borrello Lawyers’ Property, Development & Construction and Planning & Environment teams, having extensive experience in those respective areas. He was admitted to practice in Namibia in 1993, and admitted in New South Wales and Western Australia in 2007. Mr Rogers was a partner at Fisher Quarmby & Pfeifer in Namibia from 1997 to 1999. He also worked as a group legal advisor and company secretary at Capricorn Investment Holdings, a regional financial services group with established interests in banking, insurance, asset management, investments and micro-finance in Namibia and Botswana. On arriving in Australia, Mr Rogers worked as a legal advisor and compliance manager with BankWest and St Andrew’s Australia respectively. Prior to joining Borrello Legal (now LSV Borrello Lawyers) in 2012, Mr Rogers was a senior lawyer at Hardy Bowen for 5 years practising in planning, environmental, property and administrative law areas, providing practical and proactive planning, property, land compensation, environment and general commercial advice to a broad range of clients including property developers, town planning consultants, real estate agents and private individuals. Mr Rogers appears regularly before the State Administrative Tribunal in relation to planning and environment related matters.
