Premiere Eastern Energy has appointed Wayne Reid OBE as non-executive deputy chair. He replaces David Wheeler who has resigned from the role.
Greg Walker has extensive senior management experience in the resources sector including industry-government relations, strategic analysis and planning, change management, institutional fundraising and commodity sales. He worked for more than 35 years in the mining industry, including 18 years with Rio Tinto. Mr Walker has a deep understanding of operating in Africa having been based in Angola, South Africa, Zambia and Malawi. He has been responsible for government relations in Namibia, Malawi and Niger in West Africa and was founding chair of the AustraliaAfrica Minerals & Energy Group (AAMEG), the peak body representing Australian companies engaged in development of Africa’s resource industry.

Lithium hopeful Birimian has released a pre-feasibility study on its Goulamina project in Mali, with five development scenarios that range the capex between $US87 million ($A110 million) and $US412 million ($A524 million).
Birimian has announced the resignations of Greg Walker as chief executive and executive director, James McKay as chair, and Gillian Swaby as executive director. Mark Pitts has also resigned as company secretary, effective November 20.
