Mr Brown has over 40 years' experience in the mining and exploration industry, having led teams that discovered numerous ore deposits including Sakatti magmatic copper-nickel-PGM deposit in Finland. He has completed over 100 technical assignments in over 25 countries. Previously the Group Head of Geosciences & Exploration at Anglo American, where prior he was appointed from Senior Vice President Exploration and managed geo-sciences, technical services, and R&D programs. Also, participating in the Columbia Senior Executives Program and the Duke Business Leaders Program in 2004 and 2007.He is also Chairman of Risk committee of the company.
