Glenn Wheeler commenced a corporate advisory contract with Fremantle Octopus in January 2016 and was appointed CEO in October 2016. Mr Wheeler is best remembered for his involvement with Permanent Building Society, which collapsed in 1991. Before its collapse Permanent set up what was arguably Australia’s first mortgage broking business, trading as Capital Mortgage Services and Roy Weston Mortgage Services. More recently he played a key role in national property services company Wentworth Mutual Ltd (now Thorney Opportunities).
