Geoff Fenton became chief operating officer of Roy Hill in August 2019, having been acting head of operations in May 2018 and head of mining for a year prior. Before joining Roy Hill, he was general manager of operations and planning at Karara Mining, vice president and project director of Crosslands Resources, and mine manager for Newmont Mining Corporation’s Boddington operations. Mr Fenton has more than 25 years of operational and technical experience working in mining, covering all key business areas including project studies and startups, exploration, contract/owner mining, open pit & underground operations, mineral processing, road haulage, port operations and marketing.
