Francis Harper is the founding director of Blackwood Capital which manages private equity funds primarily for high net worth clients in Australia and the USA. Blackwood Capital has also raised over $500 million for listed mining and other companies within the last 5 years.
Prior to forming Blackwood Capital, Mr Harper spent 15 years with NM Rothschild in senior positions within resources corporate finance in the UK, USA and Australia.
Mr Harper is a significant shareholder and chair of Tietto Minerals, which is studying development of the expanding 3 million-ounce Abujar Gold Project in Ivory Coast. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2015, he was a major shareholder and chair of West African Resources which commissioned the high-grade Sanbrado gold project in Burkina Faso.
