Ernest Myers has over 30 years of experience in the resources industry. He is an accountant (CPA) who has held senior management and executive roles within a number of ASX-listed companies.
Mr Myers also has extensive experience in exploration and operational issues particularly in Kenya, Tanzania, Namibia and Eritrea; as well as corporate and operational experience in a variety of fields including project development, feasibility studies, equity and debt financing.
Mr Myers joined Pancontinental Oil & Gas in March 2004 as company secretary and was appointed finance director in January 2009, non-executive director in July 2017 and took over the management of the company in November 2018. He was subsequently appointed executive chair in March 2024.
Prior to his appointment with Pancontinental, Mr Myers was CFO and company secretary of Dragon Mining for six years, during its transition from an exploration company to a gold producer in Sweden.
