Emma Stein has been a non-executive director for listed ASX 200 companies, and private & government-owned companies in Australia and New Zealand since 2003. The sectors she has worked in include green-power, recycling and industrial water and waste, upstream oil and gas, energy retailing and utilities, mining and resources, engineering and industrial services. Ms Stein has experience with businesses adapting to the energy transition, climate change risk and emissions management
Ms Stein has served on the boards of listed companies DUET (majority owner of the Dampier to Bunbury Pipeline), Alumina, Transpacific Industries and Programmed Maintenance Group.
Formerly the UK managing director for French utility Gaz de France’s energy retailing operations, Ms Stein moved to Australia in 2003 and took up board appointments at Integral Energy, the NSW Growth Centres Commission and Arc Energy.
Ms Stein holds tertiary qualifications in Science and a Master of Business Administration. She is an Honorary Fellow of the University of Western Sydney, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and an ambassador for the Guides.
