Douglas Snedden was managing director of Accenture Australasia from 2004 to May 2008. He was involved in the formulation and execution of a country strategy, overseeing financial performance, operational efficiency and market share, and managing key relationships with government, customer and community stakeholders.
During his executive career, he spent 28 years with Accenture in a range of senior positions in Australia and Asia including as managing director of Australia and New Zealand. He joined Arthur Andersen & Co as a graduate in 1979 and was admitted to the partnership of Andersen Consulting in 1990. Mr Snedden was involved in the formulation and execution of a country strategy, overseeing financial performance, operational efficiency and market share and managing key relationships with government, customer and community stakeholders. During his time at Andersen Consulting (and then Accenture), he predominantly focused on large-scale business transformation programs, deployment of new technology, restructuring, re-engineering of businesses and outsourcing arrangements.
Mr Snedden has worked with blue chip companies in Australia, the United Kingdom, South Africa, USA and throughout the Asia Pacific region.
He holds a Bachelor of Economics and Accounting from the Australian National University.
