
Don Punch is a Labor Party Member of the Western Australia Legislative Assembly for Bunbury.
Following Labor's win in the 2021 state election, he became the Minister for Disability Services, Fisheries, Innovation and ICT, Seniors and Ageing. As of the 2025 election, Mr Punch holds the Aboriginal Affairs, Water, Climate Resilience and South West portfolios.
Following the resignation of Mr McGowan in June 2023, Mr Punch became the Minister for Regional Development, Disability Services, Fisheries, Seniors & Ageing, and Volunteering under the Cook government.
Mr Punch has extensive experience working throughout regional Western Australia for the WA public service. He has undertaken a variety of roles including working in regional and remote communities on the provision of infrastructure, identification and funding of community needs, and project management.
Prior to entering politics, Mr Punch was chief executive of the South West Development Commission.
He studied Psychology and Social Work at the University of Western Australia and has an MBA from Edith Cowan University.
