David Yates is the executive general manager of investor relations and communications at Dexus and is responsible for investor, media and government relations as well as internal and external communications across the group. He is also responsible for the group’s sustainability operations, reporting and performance. Mr Yates has over 15 years of investor relations experience specifically in the Australian commercial property industry with an extensive background in investor relations and corporate affairs gained in organisations including Colonial First State Global Asset Management, ING Real Estate, Lend Lease and Schroders Property. He holds a Masters in Business Administration from Escuela de Alta Direccion y Administracion (EADA) (Barcelona, Spain) and a Bachelor in Agricultural Business from the University of Adelaide. He is a member of the Australasian Investor Relations Association (AIRA).
