David Moore joined Mincor Resources on 30 September 1999 and was the founding managing director of the company. His previous experience includes 13 years with Shell/Billiton where he worked internationally in minerals exploration, business development, project management and strategic planning.
In 1996 he left a position as Billiton's Chief Geologist in Peru to join Iscor Australia as director of business development. In that role he established Iscor's gold and base metal exploration unit in Australasia.
Mr Moore has worked extensively in South America, southern and eastern Africa and Australasia. He holds a B.Sc (Eng) Mining Geology). He founded Tethyan Copper Company in 2000, and led the company as managing director until its acquisition by a JV of Antofagasta and Barrick in 2006.
