David Lamont

Senior Executive Officer / BHP

David Lamont was chief financial officer of ASX-listed global biotech company CSL Limited from January 2016 to November 2020 when he was appointed chief financial officer of BHP and joins its executive leadership team. Prior to joining CSL, Mr Lamont was a chief financial officer for several multinational public companies across a range of industries and held senior roles at BHP between 2001 & 2006, including as chief financial officer of its carbon steel materials and energy coal businesses.

Mr Lamont is a qualified Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Australia) and director of Financial Executives Institute of Australia.
