David Jones is a barrister, opera singer and not-for profit director. He gained a Juris Doctor with first class merit honours in 2009 before being articled to the State Solicitor of Western Australia.
Mr Jones continued to work at the State Crown before being called to the independent Bar in 2016. He accepts briefs in a wide range of areas of civil law including in commercial law, construction, defamation and insurance law.
A classically trained tenor, Mr Jones graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2005 before continuing his studies under the acclaimed teacher Anthea Moller. He has performed with a variety of opera companies and orchestras throughout Australia including as a soloist with Adelaide Symphony Orchestra & WASO. Mr Jones has appeared in 30 productions with WA Opera.
He holds a variety of not-for-profit positions including as a director of MSWA since 2010, director of Lost & Found Opera, an Australia Council Peer, a choral conductor at Scotch College, and, teaches law at Murdoch University and UWA (from which he holds a Bachelor of Science).
