David Blacker
Research Advisor / Perron Institute for Neurological and Translational Science
Professor David Blacker AM is a consultant neurologist and stroke physician at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Clinical Professor at the University of Western Australia. He has a long-standing association with the Perron Institute as an Honorary Research Fellow and is its medical director.
Prof Blacker continues to play an active role in shaping policy on neurological care as a member (and previous chair) of the Neurosciences Advisory Group to the WA Department of Health and a member of the WA Neurology Planning Committee.
In 2023, he was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to medicine, and to neurological research.
